About
Giving up and trying your best
As we age, our bodies begin to complain of problems, although these can vary in size.
Of course, I have my own problems. But I love skiing and I've always said, "I can only ski, but I can do it." I wish I could still say that.
One thing I often hear is the phrase "living with pain and discomfort." I can imagine what that might be like, but I'd rather not have to deal with that sort of thing if possible.
When I imagine the phrase "getting along well," I picture us walking side by side. I feel like that's not going to move the needle. So instead of "getting along well," I think,
When I discovered spinal conditioning, I began to think that it might be better to "face it properly."
No one likes going to the hospital, being told something scary, being told they need to keep coming back, or being prescribed so much medicine that they feel full. With spinal conditioning, you first have your body examined, and while receiving treatment, you can get to know your own body. Then, you are taught exercises and exercises to improve it. After that, you just have to keep doing it every day, at home or on your travels.
It's been about eight months since I started doing the spinal conditioning exercises, and I can feel my posture has changed. The other day, my husband saw me walking in front of our house and unexpectedly praised me, saying, "Naoko, your posture has improved."
Previously, even just walking around my favorite town would gradually cause my back to become tired and my lower back to clearly hurt, but now I feel like that doesn't happen anymore. I don't think I'll be cured completely, but I want to focus on maintaining the " personality that can say that I love what I love and continue doing what I love."
More than anything, I feel like I want to go skiing again.
To people who love skiing, instead of "don't give up"
We came up with this project to encourage people to understand their symptoms and to "not give up and keep trying."
Tomoko Sada (Tomo-chan), a spine player, and Naoko Kuji (Nao-san), a skier, usually spend some time together and are good friends.
It might be fun just to listen to the two of them converse in Kansai dialect.
Wishing you all a smile
